Rewind Festival South
21 Aug 2026 - 23 Aug 2026
Rewind Festival South 2026 lights up Temple Island Meadows, Henley-on-Thames, promising a spectacular weekend of nostalgia, neon and non-stop party vibes. As the flagship event of the Rewind family, this festival celebrates the golden age of pop, rock and synth classics — an unmissable retro extravaganza for lovers of the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Since its launch in 2009, Rewind South has become one of the UK’s most beloved throwback festivals, transforming the scenic banks of the River Thames into a vibrant time capsule filled with colourful costumes, inflatable guitars, and the sounds that defined generations. The atmosphere is joyous and inclusive — a gathering where families, friends and lifelong fans come together to relive the anthems that never fade.
While the 2026 line-up is still to be announced, expect another glittering roster of iconic names. The 2025 edition featured performances from The Human League, Bananarama, Holly Johnson, ABC, Level 42, Midge Ure, Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Chesney Hawkes, Heather Small, and Doctor & The Medics, alongside beloved festival regulars like The Trevor Horn Band, Tony Hadley, and T’Pau. Over the years, Rewind has hosted legends including Boy George, Billy Ocean, OMD, Belinda Carlisle, Marc Almond, Go West, Sister Sledge, and Kim Wilde, keeping the retro flame burning brighter than ever.
Beyond the music, Rewind South offers a full weekend experience packed with entertainment and charm. Expect themed boat parties along the Thames, pop-up discos, comedy shows, silent discos, vintage fairs, and costume parades that bring the spirit of the 80s roaring back to life. The famous Inflatable Church, Club Tropicana Bar, and the dazzling fireworks finale add to the festival’s legendary atmosphere.
Accommodation options cater to every taste, from classic camping and campervan spots to pre-pitched glamping pods and boutique bell tents with VIP amenities. Henley-on-Thames is easily accessible by train from London Paddington or Reading, with shuttle buses running from nearby stations throughout the weekend.
Whether you’re dancing to synth-pop classics or sipping prosecco by the riverside in full 80s gear, Rewind Festival South 2026 promises a weekend of pure joy, timeless tunes, and unforgettable memories — where the past feels gloriously alive once again.
