Balaton Sound is one of the biggest open air electronic music festivals in Europe, taking place at the idillic Lake Balaton, in Hungary. The festival is attracting over 150,000 music lovers ready to party across its five days each year.
Balaton Sound Festival puts together an enviable lineup of the world’s biggest DJs, featuring the world’s best in EDM, house, techno and hip-hop artists over nine stages. What better soundtrack do you need, when you can spend your days either dancing on boat parties, chilling out at the nearby food and drink spots, or sunbathing lakeside and truly making the most of the blissful weather.
The sibling festival to Sziget, Balaton Sound Festival is in its second decade and has put Hungary on the map, in regards to being a key destination for the premium summer beach festival experience.

Camping during the festival requires a camping ticket. You will need basic camping gear, like a tent, a camping pad and a head torch (so useful in the night). Alternatively, you can book nearby hotels and apartments using the map below or visit booking.com
From Budapest-Déli Station take the train to Zamardi (departs hourly – 1.5 hours journey – approx. €5 – €8). You can book your tickets online @ www.mavcsoport.hu
From Budapest Airport (BUD) take the 200E Bus to Köbanya-Kispest, then take the train to Kelenföld and then take the train to Budapest-Déli (1 hour journey – approx. €5.00). Follow the train instructions above to Zamardi.
