Forwards Bristol is a brand new, two-day music event coming to Clifton Downs in September 2022, inviting some of music’s biggest names to the city to help create incredible music moments and positive change.

Seeing out summer in the best way possible, the festival’s inaugural edition will be headlined by dance music pioneers from two different generations, with Jamie XX taking to the stage on Saturday and The Chemical Brothers closing the evening on Sunday.

Also joining Saturday’s line-up are the likes of velvetine funk trio Khruangbin, rap polymath Kojey Radical, chaotic dance duo Overmono and BRIT Award-winning Little Simz. Taking to The Downs on Sunday is Nottingham’s straight-talking Sleaford Mods, cosmic jazz cats The Comet Is Coming, plus euphoric pop from Self Esteem, spoken word slam from Kae Tempest, psych-rock/house fusion from Caribou plus many more.

In addition to its cutting-edge music billing, expect talks, workshops and debates around social and sustainability initiatives.
