Sunrise Festival 2027: Poland’s Coastal Electronic Music Spectacle

Sunrise Festival 2027 returns to Kołobrzeg for another spectacular weekend of electronic music, seaside atmosphere and large-scale production. Hosted at Nadmorski Park Kultury on the former Podczele airfield, the festival transforms an expansive coastal site near the Baltic Sea into a vibrant city of towering stages, powerful sound systems and unforgettable visual shows.

The story of Sunrise began in 2003, when house and trance first filled Kołobrzeg’s intimate amphitheatre. As its audience and ambition grew, the festival moved to Podczele, gaining the space required to develop multiple arenas and welcome many of the world’s leading electronic artists. It has since become one of Central and Eastern Europe’s most important dance music events.

The official 2027 line-up has yet to be announced. Recent editions have demonstrated the festival’s extraordinary range, combining international headliners with respected Polish artists across EDM, house, techno, trance, melodic techno and hardstyle. Previous performers have included Hardwell, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso, Afrojack, James Hype, Scooter, Cosmic Gate, Paul van Dyk, Aly & Fila, MRAK and Reinier Zonneveld. These names provide a taste of the scale and variety fans can expect when the new programme is revealed.

Each stage creates its own musical identity, from mainstage anthems and spectacular headline performances to deeper techno journeys, euphoric trance and harder electronic sounds. Immersive lighting, enormous LED structures, lasers and pyrotechnics amplify the experience as daylight fades and the former runway becomes a sea of dancers.

SunCity offers the complete festival-living experience beside the main grounds. Accommodation traditionally includes pitches for visitors bringing their own tents, furnished premium tipis and larger VIP tents. The festival village also provides sanitary facilities, food areas, relaxation zones and entertainment, allowing guests to remain close to the action throughout the weekend.

Kołobrzeg offers additional hotels, apartments and seaside guesthouses for those seeking greater comfort. Special festival buses and local transport connections have operated between the city and Podczele in previous editions, with updated travel arrangements expected closer to the event.
