Boomtown Fair 2027 returns to the Hampshire countryside with Chapter Six: Wild Style, the next instalment of its ever-evolving festival story. Built within the rolling landscape of the South Downs National Park near Winchester, Boomtown becomes a temporary city where music, theatre, extraordinary architecture and audience participation collide on an unmatched scale.

Founded in 2009, Boomtown has grown from an independent gathering into one of the United Kingdom’s most ambitious immersive festivals. Every edition advances an ongoing narrative through redesigned districts, elaborate sets and hundreds of costumed performers. Visitors are encouraged to explore, interact and influence the story, turning the entire site into a vast theatrical production rather than a conventional collection of stages.

The official 2027 music line-up has not yet been announced. However, Boomtown’s programming is famously expansive, bringing reggae, ska, punk, hip-hop, jungle, drum & bass, garage, house, techno, psytrance, folk and live electronic music into one spectacular city. The previous chapter featured Skrillex, Scissor Sisters, Madness, Faithless, Scooter, Four Tet, Ashnikko, Kneecap, Shy FX, Wilkinson, Floating Points and Groove Armada, demonstrating the extraordinary breadth visitors can expect when the new programme arrives.

Music unfolds across monumental outdoor stages, woodland dancefloors, theatrical clubs and countless micro-venues hidden throughout the streets. Districts develop their own characters, soundtracks and visual identities, allowing festival-goers to move from enormous headline productions to intimate performances behind unmarked doors. Secret sets and spontaneous encounters ensure that no two journeys through the city are identical.

Beyond the dancefloors, Boomtown offers street theatre, parades, craft workshops, games, talks and interactive missions. The Retreat provides a restorative programme of wellbeing, creativity and relaxation, while food traders serve dishes from around the world alongside vegetarian and vegan choices.

Tickets include standard camping, with upgraded campsite facilities and pre-pitched accommodation available separately. Public Transport Saver tickets encourage lower-impact travel and include entry tied to an official coach or rail journey. Visitors arriving independently can also use coach services, shuttle connections and pre-booked parking.
