MAYDAY Dortmund is one of the most iconic dance music events on the European continent. Its legacy long outstrips their partying peers, considering that MAYDAY have been throwing the most extravagant, hedonistic raves for nearly thirty years since it’s birth in 1991.
Whilst pioneering central Europe’s techno domination early in its lifespan, in recent times MAYDAY has showcased a wider variety of sounds ranging from hardstyle to house, and trance to EDM; Dortmund’s famous Westfalenhallen has seen headline performances from the likes of Tiësto, Sven Väth, Chris Liebing, Lost Frequencies, Markus Schulz, Angerfist, and Adam Beyer over the past few editions.
Backed by immersive audio-visual production and swept-up in the sheer awe of the occasion, ravers lose themselves inside this German institution of dance year-on-year.
Mayday Dortmund 2021 was postponed to 2022, due to the coronavirus outbreak. Tickets remain valid for the 2022 edition. You can read the festival’s statement here
