Garorock Festival 2027: Three Days of Music and Energy in Marmande

Garorock Festival returns to the Plaine de la Filhole in Marmande for its 31st edition, transforming the peaceful landscape of southwest France into a vast open-air celebration of music, freedom and community. With its eclectic programming, enormous campsite and famously energetic crowd, Garorock remains one of France’s most exciting summer festivals.

Founded in 1997 inside Marmande’s former slaughterhouses, Garorock began as an alternative rock and punk gathering with a fiercely independent identity. As its audience expanded, the festival moved to the spacious Plaine de la Filhole and embraced an increasingly diverse musical direction. Rock, rap, pop, reggae, electronic music and hard techno now coexist across its stages, reflecting the tastes of a new generation without abandoning the event’s rebellious roots.

David Guetta is the first artist officially confirmed for the 2027 line-up. One of the world’s most successful electronic performers, the French DJ and producer will bring his catalogue of international dance anthems to Marmande for a major headline appearance. The remainder of the programme is still to be revealed, with further announcements expected to combine global stars, leading French acts and emerging talent.

Garorock’s stages each offer a different musical atmosphere, moving from monumental headline shows to late-night electronic sets and intimate performances. Powerful sound systems, spectacular lighting and large-scale visual production keep the festival moving long after sunset.

The campsite forms an essential part of the experience. More than somewhere to sleep, it becomes a temporary community filled with music, games, social spaces and spontaneous celebrations. Visitors can also explore food villages serving regional French produce, international street food and vegetarian options, alongside bars, market areas and places to relax between performances.

Marmande railway station is within walking distance of the festival grounds, making train travel one of the easiest ways to arrive. Festival transport has also previously connected the event with cities including Bordeaux and Agen after the final performances, although arrangements for 2027 should be checked once confirmed. Hotels, guesthouses and holiday rentals are available around Marmande for visitors who prefer not to camp.

With David Guetta opening the line-up and many more artists still to come, Garorock Festival 2027 is already preparing another unforgettable gathering where bold sounds, summer nights and thousands of festival-goers become part of one shared story.
