Y Not Festival 2027: Indie Anthems and Peak District Adventure

Y Not Festival 2027 returns to Pikehall, Derbyshire, bringing its infectious mix of live music, countryside freedom and friendly festival spirit back to the magnificent Peak District. Surrounded by rolling fields and sweeping rural views, Y Not offers an unpretentious weekend where towering singalong performances, emerging talent and late-night entertainment come together beneath the open sky.

The story began with a house party in 2005 that quickly outgrew its original surroundings and developed into a full-scale festival. Despite that remarkable expansion, Y Not has held onto the qualities that first made it special: great music, delicious food, carefree fun and a community that looks after one another. Its independent character and unmistakably northern personality continue to distinguish it within the British festival calendar.

The official 2027 line-up has yet to be announced, but Y Not’s musical history sets high expectations. Previous editions have welcomed major names including Kasabian, Royal Blood, Foals, Blossoms and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. The 2026 programme featured The Reytons, Two Door Cinema Club, The Streets, The Libertines, Scissor Sisters and Kaiser Chiefs, supported by breakthrough artists and established favourites from across the United Kingdom.

Visitors can expect another broad soundtrack spanning indie rock, alternative music, pop, punk, hip-hop and electronic sounds. Beyond the main performances, smaller stages, comedy, entertainment areas and late-night DJ sessions provide plenty to discover. Food traders serve everything from festival classics to international street food, while bars offer craft beer, cocktails and alcohol-free choices.

All standard weekend tickets include access to General Camping. Family Camping provides a dedicated option for adults attending with children or teenagers, while Paradise Peaks adds hot showers, flushing toilets, pamper facilities and a campsite closer to the arena. Glamping packages offer pre-pitched and upgraded accommodation, and live-in vehicle pitches are available for campervans and motorhomes. VIP upgrades include access to a private arena area with dedicated food traders, a bar, improved toilets and late-night DJs.

Y Not welcomes festival-goers of all ages, although specific supervision rules apply to younger visitors. Those driving should reserve parking before arrival, as advance passes provide the easiest access to the site. Organised coach travel offers another convenient option from selected towns and cities.

Y Not Festival 2027 promises another joyful celebration of real music and shared experience, proving that some of the most memorable festival moments happen far from the city, among good friends and Derbyshire’s open hills.
