Travel Info
BY CAR
BY METRO & BUS
Take the Metro to the “Sete Rios” station. From “Sete Rios”, catch a bus heading towards Monsanto. You should inquire locally or check schedules to identify which bus route will get you closest to Keil do Amaral.
BY TRAIN
If you’re traveling to Lisbon by train, it’s likely that you’ll arrive at either “Santa Apolónia” or “Oriente” stations, both being major international train stations in Lisbon.
From Santa Apolónia: Take the Metro Blue Line from “Santa Apolónia” to “Jardim Zoológico” (Sete Rios) station. From “Sete Rios”, you can catch a bus heading towards Monsanto.
From Oriente: Take the Metro Red Line from “Oriente” to “São Sebastião” station.
Switch to the Blue Line at “São Sebastião” and travel to “Jardim Zoológico” (Sete Rios) station. Then, from “Sete Rios”, take a bus to Monsanto.
For both scenarios, taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available at train stations if you prefer a more direct route.
Remember to always check schedules for potential changes or delays. And if you’re using public transport, the Viva Viagem card can be handy as it’s usable on buses, trams, and the metro.
BY PLANE
From Lisbon Airport (LIS) take the Metro Red Line to “São Sebastião” station. Switch to the Blue Line at “São Sebastião” and travel to “Jardim Zoológico” (also known as Sete Rios) station. From “Sete Rios”, you can catch a bus heading towards Monsanto.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing Services: From the airport, you can easily find a taxi. Alternatively, use ride-sharing services like Uber, Bolt, or Kapten. It’s roughly a 15-20 minute drive to Monsanto from the airport without traffic.
Aerobus has a line that goes from the airport to Sete Rios. From there, you can take a bus to Monsanto.
