Lowlands Festival 2027: A Complete Cultural Adventure in the Dutch Polder
Lowlands Festival returns to Biddinghuizen, Netherlands, from 20 to 22 August 2027 for another immersive weekend of music, culture and camping. Officially known as “A Campingflight to Lowlands Paradise,” the festival has brought its temporary creative city to the Dutch polder since 1993.
Music remains at the heart of Lowlands, with an adventurous programme traditionally spanning rock, pop, hip-hop, electronic music, indie, metal, house, techno and sounds from around the world. International headliners share the festival’s numerous stages with emerging artists and unexpected discoveries, creating an experience that moves effortlessly from enormous live shows to intimate performances and late-night dancefloors. The official 2027 lineup has not yet been announced.
Lowlands is far more than a conventional music festival. Its extensive cultural programme regularly includes theatre, dance, comedy, film, literature, visual art, debates and interactive scientific research. Restaurants, markets and imaginative installations transform the grounds near Walibi Holland into a self-contained festival community where performances and new experiences continue throughout the weekend.
Camping is central to the Lowlands experience. Visitors traditionally stay for the complete weekend, either in their own tents or through additional camper, group-camping and pre-pitched accommodation options. Together, the campsites and festival grounds create the distinctive temporary world that has made Lowlands one of the Netherlands’ most celebrated and adventurous cultural festivals.
