Junction 2 Festival is a London techno festival, showcasing some of the genre’s finest names inside west London’s Boston Manor Park each June. Returning after a year off, Junction 2 promises to come back stronger than ever in 2021 as it once again demonstrates, why it’s a key weekend in the UK’s techno calendar.
Held underneath a motorway, it’s easy to see where the festival’s name originates, but the industrial-cum-park setting is the perfect accompaniment to Junction 2’s gritty, but alternative, sound. So popular has Junction 2 become, the festival expanded to two days for its last edition and will continue as so for its 2021 festival, taking over the park on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th June 2021.
The addition of the Friday allows Junction 2 to explore a more diverse variety of electronic music genres, delving into alternative house, electro and the like, while Saturday returns to its four to the floor techno roots.
After having to postpone their 2020 festival, Junction 2 have confirmed they are planning to replicate the lineup like for like in 2021. If so, we can expect to witness a special live performance by Jon Hopkins, as well as sets from techno heavyweights such as Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Ben Klock and Dax J.
Junction 2 Festival 2020 was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. Tickets for 2020 can be transferred to the 2021 edition. You can read the full statement from the festival here
