Slam Dunk Festival North 2026: The Ultimate Pop-Punk and Rock Celebration
Slam Dunk Festival North 2026 storms into Temple Newsam Park, Leeds, on Sunday 24 May 2026, bringing a full day of anthems, chaos, and community to the heart of Yorkshire. The twin to Slam Dunk South, this northern edition delivers the same explosive line-up, colossal stages, and genre-spanning celebration of pop-punk, metalcore, emo, ska, and alt-rock — all wrapped in that unmistakable Leeds energy.
Since its beginnings in 2006, Slam Dunk has grown from a scrappy club night into one of the UK’s most respected alternative festivals, carrying the torch for a generation raised on Vans Warped Tour and Kerrang! compilations. Today, it’s a pilgrimage for both long-time fans and new converts, a space where nostalgia collides with fresh rebellion. Expect multiple open-air stages, slick sound, non-stop sets, and a sea of band tees, circle pits, and pure joy.
While the 2026 line-up is yet to be announced, last year’s roster set a high bar with You Me At Six (farewell tour), The All-American Rejects, Neck Deep, Waterparks, I Prevail, Funeral for a Friend, Asking Alexandria, Boys Like Girls, and State Champs leading the charge — a testament to Slam Dunk’s commitment to mixing modern heavyweights with pop-punk legends. Past editions have also seen Enter Shikari, Sum 41, NOFX, The Offspring, Simple Plan, Mayday Parade, and Good Charlotte, confirming its reputation as the UK’s go-to alt-rock gathering.
Beyond the music, the festival offers everything from food trucks and craft beer gardens to merch villages, signing tents, and chillout zones. The compact site layout means minimal clashes and maximum music — you’re never far from your next favourite band.
Getting there is straightforward: Temple Newsam Park sits just outside Leeds city centre, accessible via frequent shuttle buses from Leeds Station, as well as parking for those driving. Many fans turn it into a long weekend, staying in Leeds to keep the party going with aftershows across the city’s buzzing nightlife scene.
With its perfect blend of nostalgia, discovery, and northern spirit, Slam Dunk Festival North 2026 promises another full-throttle day where riffs rule, friendships spark, and every chorus feels like coming home.
