Slam Dunk Festival South 2027: A Pop-Punk and Rock Extravaganza

Slam Dunk Festival South returns to Hatfield Park for another riotous celebration of pop-punk, emo, ska, metalcore and alternative rock. As the southern half of the much-loved twin-site festival, it brings colossal choruses, crushing breakdowns and a community that knows every word to Hertfordshire’s historic parkland.

What began as a fiercely independent club night in Leeds has grown into one of the UK’s defining alternative music events. Slam Dunk still holds on to the close-knit spirit that made it special from the start: genre icons, future favourites and devoted fans sharing a fast-moving day of live music. The South site delivers a packed, walkable festival experience where the next stage, pit or sing-along is never far away.

The 2027 line-up is already stacked with major names from across the alternative spectrum. Bowling for Soup, Simple Plan, Killswitch Engage, Beartooth, Sleeping With Sirens, The Used and The Front Bottoms lead an impressive programme that balances pop-punk nostalgia with modern heavy energy. Hot Milk bring one of the UK scene’s sharpest live shows, while Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake and The Interrupters promise infectious ska-punk rhythms built for mass movement.

The bill runs even deeper with Wage War, The Amity Affliction, ERRA, Four Year Strong, Knuckle Puck, The Maine, The Academy Is…, Cute Is What We Aim For, As December Falls, RedHook and more. Trophy Eyes will celebrate the tenth anniversary of Chemical Miracle, while We The Kings bring a special twentieth-anniversary performance. With additional artists still to be announced, Slam Dunk South is shaping up to offer a full day of discovery alongside the songs that defined a generation.

Away from the stages, expect food and drink traders, merchandise stands and spaces to recharge before plunging back into the action. A VIP upgrade adds an undercover DJ bar, street food, seating and chill-out areas, luxury toilets, a cocktail bar and other festival extras. Limited camping, campervan pitches and pre-pitched tent options are planned within walking distance of the site, while nearby Hatfield and London offer further accommodation choices.
