Slam Dunk Festival North 2027: Leeds’ Ultimate Pop-Punk and Alternative Celebration

Slam Dunk Festival North returns to Temple Newsam in Leeds for another full-throttle celebration of pop-punk, emo, ska, metalcore and alternative rock. As the northern half of the beloved twin-site festival, it brings huge sing-alongs, circle pits and a fiercely loyal community together for one explosive day of riffs, nostalgia and new discoveries.

Since beginning as a Leeds club night in 2006, Slam Dunk has grown into one of the UK’s essential alternative music gatherings. Its success comes from staying close to the scene: big names share the bill with rising artists, fans move easily between stages, and every chorus is met by a sea of voices. Temple Newsam’s open setting gives the North edition plenty of room to breathe while keeping the energy focused from the first set to the final encore.

The 2027 line-up delivers a major cross-section of alternative music. Bowling for Soup, Simple Plan, Killswitch Engage, Beartooth, Sleeping With Sirens, The Used and The Front Bottoms lead a bill built for both emotional throwbacks and modern heavy impact. Ska-punk favourites Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake and The Interrupters bring brass, bounce and unstoppable festival momentum, while Hot Milk represent the sharp edge of the UK’s current alternative wave.

The programme runs even deeper with sets from Wage War, The Amity Affliction, ERRA, Four Year Strong, Knuckle Puck, The Academy Is…, Cute Is What We Aim For, As December Falls, RedHook and many more. Trophy Eyes will mark the tenth anniversary of Chemical Miracle, while We The Kings bring a special twentieth-anniversary performance. More artists are still to be revealed, adding further anticipation to a bill already packed with character.

Beyond the stages, expect a festival site made for spending the whole day immersed in the scene, with food and drink traders, merchandise stands and plenty of moments to regroup between sets. Limited camping, campervan pitches and pre-pitched tent options provide an easy festival-base option within walking distance, while Leeds offers hotels, hostels and a lively after-hours music scene for those staying in the city.

Temple Newsam is easily reached from Leeds city centre, with dedicated shuttle travel, taxis and coach options helping fans get to and from the site.
