Zlatni Rat, Bol, Croatia
Located 2 km west of the harbour town Bol on the island of Brac, Zlatni Rat’s unique triangle shape storms into the Adriatic Sea, creating a beautiful sandy surface, that stretches 500 meters into the sea. The beaches on either side of the spit extend for more than 600 metres and the tip of the beach changes direction according to the strong currents and wind conditions. The area is a natural paradise of green forest, white sandy beach and turquoise sea waters. Navagio Beach, Zakynthos, Greece
Navagio Beach (Shipwreck Beach) is an exposed cove on the coast of Zakynthos, in the Ionian Islands of Greece, with sheer limestone cliffs, a sandy little strip and clear blue water. It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The ship buried in the limestone gravel of the beach, is the freightliner “MV Panagiotis”, that was abandoned by it’s crew in 1980 (many claim the ship was smuggling contraband cigarettes, wine and women). Navagio Beach is only accessible from sea and most tour operators on the island run day trips. It attracts thousands of tourists yearly and the best time to visit would be early in the morning or in the afternoon, the off-peak times. If you want to see the Navagio Beach from the cliff, and take some stunning photos, you have to go there either by a car or a taxi.
