Transition Festival 2026 – A Psytrance Journey Through Andalusia

Transition Festival 2026 returns to the forests of the Doñana region in southern Spain from **22–28 September**, celebrating 17 years of psychedelic music, nature and authentic human connection. Located on public woodland belonging to the municipality of Almonte, rather than within the protected national park itself, the gathering unfolds beneath towering pine trees just four kilometres from the town.

At the heart of Transition lies a natural clearing encircled by nine ancient pines. These trees provide shade during the day, preserve warmth after sunset and help shape the dancefloor’s distinctive acoustic character. Here, the movement from darkness into daylight becomes part of the musical story, with each night designed as a gradual journey through tension, depth, release and emotional connection.

The confirmed Transition Festival 2026 line-up combines international psytrance names with underground artists and members of the festival’s long-established community. Highlights include Pantomiman, Zyce, Etnica’s Maurizio Begotti performing an extended DJ set, Act One, Egon’s Embrace, Goreiju, Phobos, Ulvae, Ibojima, Psibindi and Simulation Hypothesis. Alternative electronic sounds are represented by artists including Colombo, Collective Dreams, Tesinos, Noktemkore and Spanish Kaos Maffia.

Transition deliberately favours intimacy over spectacle. Psychedelic decoration, creative lighting and forest surroundings form an organic visual environment, while the campsite becomes an important social space where visitors meet their neighbours and build a temporary community. Rather than rushing between attractions, guests are encouraged to slow down, share conversations and experience the event as one continuous journey.

Camping is included with the full Festival Pass, while a Weekend Pass provides access from Friday until the gathering ends. Caravans can also stay within the camping area. Facilities include daily-cleaned ecological toilets, showers, first aid and potable water points, although water is transported into the forest and should be used carefully. Open fires, camping stoves and fireworks are prohibited because of the sensitive Andalusian landscape.

The nearest major airport is Seville, with Jerez and Faro providing additional options. Public transport connects Seville with Almonte, from where local taxi services can complete the journey to the site.

Transition Festival 2026 offers six days and nights of deep music and shared experience—a grounded psychedelic gathering where the forest is not merely scenery, but an essential part of the transformation.
